We have just finished 4 days of hiking in El Chalten. we loved the FitzRoy Range, the mountain were spectacular and the weather turned itself on for us... they´ve had days of snow and rain... but the day we hiked up Mt Fitzroy, there was not a cloud to be seen! The trails themselves were breath taking as well… I think I took twice as many photos on the walk as I did at the look out. But it was exhausting! We did 47Km in 2 days, a lot of which was up hill… vertical at times, well, almost … its time to get into shape again!
We saw our fist Condor, I know I don´t have to say it…. But, it was massive!
We definitely recommend a trip to El Chalten! If not for the treks, than for the fresh pasta, empanada and microbrewry!
