Isla Navarino (Chile)

the owner of the hostel had saved a baby beaver at 6weeks old, and looks after it in her back yard... it is only 1.5yrs old, half the size of a grown adult and already massive! 2ft long and almost 1ft wide given the fluffyness of its shampooed fur.
deforrestation by wild beaver, initially introduced to Ushuaia by the Canadians, but they swam to the smaller island of Isla Navarino, where they continue to cause havock
taking a break after a severely uphill treck
continuing... up hill!
the view from the boat between Ushuaia and Isla Navarino

icey antarctic waters
the hill we climbed up the day before... you can just see the flag at the top
once we got to the top it started snowing... better than rain!
Chilean flag... we made it up the hill
